Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Earn Your Edge LLC (“we”, “us”) operates Trade Legacy: War Ledger at tradelegacy.trade (the “Service”). Our registered address is 4030 Wake Forest Road, STE 349, Raleigh, NC 27609, USA. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website, the War Ledger ranked ladder, the Ledger pages, the Journal, the Legacy AI Coach and our related communications.

2. Information you give us

• Account. Email address, display name, password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider) and any profile details you add.
• MetaTrader connection. Broker server name, account login and the account’s investor (read-only) password. The investor password is encrypted at rest and used solely to open a read-only session on our own MetaTrader terminal. We never ask for, and cannot use, your master/trading password.
• Brokerage connection via SnapTrade. If you link a brokerage through SnapTrade, you authenticate directly with your brokerage inside SnapTrade’s connection portal. We receive a connection token and read-only account data; we never receive your brokerage username or password.
• Journal notes. The Sustain and Improve notes and tags you write about a day or a trade. Only you can see them.
• AI Coach conversations. The questions you ask the Legacy AI Coach, its answers, a snapshot of your trading statistics at the time of each question, and a short running note the coach keeps about your trading so its later answers build on earlier ones. These are tied to your account and private to you.
• Ledger content. Your profile picture, status, about text and cover line; the posts, photos and videos you publish; your comments and reactions; and who you follow.
• Payout profile (prize winners only). Legal name, mailing address, payout method details and tax forms you submit to claim a cash prize.
• Support messages. Anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

3. Information we collect from your connected accounts

With your authorisation we read, on a schedule: closed trades (symbol, direction, open and close time, open and close price, volume, stop-loss and take-profit if set, realised profit or loss), open positions while you are seated in a match, account currency, leverage, balance and equity at the time of the read, and whether the account is demo or live. We use this to compute your trade scores, letter grades, Skill Rating and rank. Scores are stored; the raw fields listed above are kept only as long as needed to score and audit the trades that produced them (see Section 8).

4. Information collected automatically

Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps), essential authentication cookies, and basic device information needed to render the site. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics pixels.

5. How we use information

• Create and secure your account and sign you in.
• Read and score your trades, calculate rank, match you against other players and publish standings.
• Build your Journal from your trades, and answer the questions you ask the AI Coach.
• Improve the AI Coach: we review coach conversations and how players’ results change after them, to correct bad answers and add to the coach’s trading guidance. We do not sell these conversations or use them for advertising.
• Show your Ledger, posts, comments and reactions to other players, and build the feed of traders you follow.
• Detect cheating, duplicate accounts, demo/live mixing and manipulation of the ladder.
• Verify eligibility for, and pay, cash prizes; meet tax-reporting obligations.
• Take payment for paid plans and the connection and maintenance fee through Stripe.
• Answer support requests and send account or service notices (not marketing, unless you opt in).
• Tell you when your broker connection is live, if it had to be completed by our team.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

Legal bases where required (EEA/UK): performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a fair competition and preventing abuse, your consent for broker connections, and legal obligation for tax records.

6. What other players can see

The Service is a public ladder, so some information about you is visible to other signed-in players: your display name, rank, tier, Skill Rating, letter grades, match results and placements, and — only while you are both seated in the same match — the symbol, direction and entry price of your trades.

Your Ledger page is visible to other signed-in players. It shows your name, handle and picture; your status, about text and cover line; your rank and Skill Rating; your broker’s name and platform (for example “MT5”); the instruments you have traded and the month you joined; your count of graded trades, your week’s result in multiples of risk, the share of stops you held and your 1 v 1 record; your posts, the comments and reactions on them, and your follower counts. A verified trade card on a post shows the instrument, direction, grade and result in multiples of risk — never the money amount. Photos and videos you post are stored at a web address that anyone who has the link can open, so do not post anything you want kept private.

We do not display your account number, broker login, balance, equity, position size, stop-loss, take-profit, exit price or profit and loss in money to anyone but you. Your Journal, your notes and your AI Coach conversations are never shown to other players. Demo and live accounts are shown separately and demo accounts are labelled.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with processors who help us run the Service, under contracts that restrict their use of it:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel — website hosting and edge network.
• SnapTrade (Passiv Inc.) — brokerage connection and read-only account data for non-MetaTrader brokers, under their own privacy policy.
• MetaQuotes MetaTrader 4/5 — the terminal software on our server that opens read-only sessions to your broker.
• Stripe — payments for paid plans and the connection and maintenance fee; we never see or store card numbers.
• Groq — runs the AI model behind the Legacy AI Coach. When you ask a question we send it your question, your recent questions and answers, a summary of your closed trades (results, grades, instruments, days and your most recent trades), short extracts of your journal notes and the coach’s running note. We do not send your name, email, broker login, password or account number.
• TradingView — the chart on the Positions panel is loaded from TradingView in your browser, so TradingView receives your IP address, browser details and the instrument you are viewing, under its own privacy policy. Drawings you make on that chart are not saved by us.
• Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.
• Discord — a private staff channel receives a notice with the account email when someone signs up or starts a paid plan.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Cloudflare — network security between our website and our scoring server.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of players or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with notice to you).

8. Retention

• Account data: for as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
• Broker credentials and connection tokens: deleted immediately when you disconnect the account or delete your account.
• Trade records used for scoring: kept while the account is connected and for up to 12 months after disconnection so that placements, bounties and disputes can be audited; then deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
• Scores, grades, ranks and match results: retained as anonymised ladder history.
• Journal notes, AI Coach conversations and the coach’s running note: for as long as your account exists; deleted when your account is deleted. You can delete a journal note yourself at any time.
• Ledger posts, photos, videos, comments, reactions and follows: until you delete them or your account is deleted.
• Prize payout and tax records: retained for 7 years as required by U.S. tax law.
• Payment records held by Stripe: kept as tax and accounting rules require.

9. Your choices and rights

• Disconnect any broker at any time from your profile; reading stops immediately.
• Delete your account from your profile or by emailing us; see Section 8 for timing.
• Access, correct, export or restrict your personal data by emailing trade.legacy.eye@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days and may verify your identity first.
• California residents may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights (know, delete, correct, opt out of sale — we do not sell). EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.

10. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Broker credentials are encrypted at rest and readable only by our scoring server, which is not exposed to the public internet. Where a platform cannot be connected automatically (MetaTrader 4 at the moment), a trusted operator on our team may use your server, login and investor (read-only) password once to complete the connection in our own terminal; every such access is logged, and the password remains the read-only one, which cannot place trades. Database access is governed by row-level security so players can only read their own private data. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.

11. International transfers

We operate from the United States and our processors store data there. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S. under the safeguards described above.

12. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete such data if we learn of it.

13. Changes

We will post any changes here with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
