Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Earn Your Edge LLC (“we”, “us”) operates Trade Legacy: War Ledger at tradelegacy.trade (the “Service”). Our registered address is 4030 Wake Forest Road, STE 349, Raleigh, NC 27609, USA. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website, the War Ledger ranked ladder and our related communications.

2. Information you give us

• Account. Email address, display name, password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider) and any profile details you add.
• MetaTrader connection. Broker server name, account login and the account’s investor (read-only) password. The investor password is encrypted at rest and used solely to open a read-only session on our own MetaTrader terminal. We never ask for, and cannot use, your master/trading password.
• Brokerage connection via SnapTrade. If you link a brokerage through SnapTrade, you authenticate directly with your brokerage inside SnapTrade’s connection portal. We receive a connection token and read-only account data; we never receive your brokerage username or password.
• Payout profile (bounty winners only). Legal name, mailing address, payout method details and tax forms you submit to claim a cash bounty.
• Support messages. Anything you send us through the contact form or by email.

3. Information we collect from your connected accounts

With your authorisation we read, on a schedule: closed trades (symbol, direction, open and close time, open and close price, volume, stop-loss and take-profit if set, realised profit or loss), open positions while you are seated in a match, account currency, leverage, balance and equity at the time of the read, and whether the account is demo or live. We use this to compute your trade scores, letter grades, Skill Rating and rank. Scores are stored; the raw fields listed above are kept only as long as needed to score and audit the trades that produced them (see Section 8).

4. Information collected automatically

Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps), essential authentication cookies, and basic device information needed to render the site. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics pixels.

5. How we use information

• Create and secure your account and sign you in.
• Read and score your trades, calculate rank, match you against other players and publish standings.
• Detect cheating, duplicate accounts, demo/live mixing and manipulation of the ladder.
• Verify eligibility for, and pay, cash bounties; meet tax-reporting obligations.
• Answer support requests and send account or service notices (not marketing, unless you opt in).
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

Legal bases where required (EEA/UK): performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a fair competition and preventing abuse, your consent for broker connections, and legal obligation for tax records.

6. What other players can see

The Service is a public ladder, so some information about you is visible to other signed-in players: your display name, rank, tier, Skill Rating, letter grades, match results and placements, and — only while you are both seated in the same match — the symbol, direction and entry price of your trades. We do not display your account number, broker login, balance, equity, position size, stop-loss, take-profit, exit price or profit and loss to anyone but you. Demo and live accounts are shown separately and demo accounts are labelled.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with processors who help us run the Service, under contracts that restrict their use of it:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel — website hosting and edge network.
• SnapTrade (Passiv Inc.) — brokerage connection and read-only account data for non-MetaTrader brokers, under their own privacy policy.
• MetaQuotes MetaTrader 4/5 — the terminal software on our server that opens read-only sessions to your broker.
• Stripe — optional payments; we never store card numbers.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Cloudflare — network security between our website and our scoring server.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of players or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with notice to you).

8. Retention

• Account data: for as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
• Broker credentials and connection tokens: deleted immediately when you disconnect the account or delete your account.
• Trade records used for scoring: kept while the account is connected and for up to 12 months after disconnection so that placements, bounties and disputes can be audited; then deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
• Scores, grades, ranks and match results: retained as anonymised ladder history.
• Bounty payout and tax records: retained for 7 years as required by U.S. tax law.

9. Your choices and rights

• Disconnect any broker at any time from your profile; reading stops immediately.
• Delete your account from your profile or by emailing us; see Section 8 for timing.
• Access, correct, export or restrict your personal data by emailing trade.legacy.eye@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days and may verify your identity first.
• California residents may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights (know, delete, correct, opt out of sale — we do not sell). EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.

10. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Broker credentials are encrypted at rest and readable only by our scoring server, which is not exposed to the public internet. Database access is governed by row-level security so players can only read their own private data. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.

11. International transfers

We operate from the United States and our processors store data there. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S. under the safeguards described above.

12. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete such data if we learn of it.

13. Changes

We will post any changes here with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
